The Microfinance Association is a one-stop microfinance development centre with a mission to develop a new generation of dynamic microfinance practitioners, by actively providing them with the technical knowledge and skills needed in a fast changing and dynamic global economy.

We encourage development and innovation, by fostering an innovative culture that engages practitioners internationally. We are a service centre to microfinance institutions. We provide technical assistance, we disseminate the technical tools and services, we provide training, and conduct industry research. We also work with interested stakeholders by assisting them in developing best practice aimed at improving the professional development of the industry.

Our strategic vision is to be the voice of the microfinance industry. We play a key role in the professional development of the industry. We deliver high-impact conferences and seminars and disseminate information on best practices. We educate practitioners about the importance of designing products that increases transparency. We also promote the use of practitioners in policy design and product development.
